Amy Marie Hill is an American character actress and stand up comedian of Finnish and Japanese descent. She was born on on May 9, 1953 Hill was born in Deadwood, South Dakota to Ayoko Yoneoka Hill and Archie Russell Hill. In the decades she has spent performing she has garnered much acclaim onscreen, stage and film. She is kown for her early work with the San Francisco based Asian American Theater Company. In addition, Hill is respected performance artist on the stage having written and performed a number of one-woman shows. Her career spans several decades with numerous television, voice over work and film roles on her résumé. Hill's first regular part on a TV show was that of "Yung-Hee "Grandma" Kim" on the 1993 ABC show "All American Girl". Even though it was short lived it was a groundbreaking sitcom which had an all Asian cast and Hill was cited as the break out star of the show. Hill has an adopted daughter named Penelope with whom she has performed on stage with. In 2015 she was cast in the The CW comedy musical "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" as Lourdes Chan, the matriarch of the Chan family and mother to Josh Chan. Her first appearance was in the Season One episode "My First Thanksgiving with Josh!".
