"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend tags" are brief codas which appear at the end of an episode that feature an additional scene. These sometimes include the main characters in a one-off gag, an expansion of a particular scene in the episode, or a spotlight on minor supporting characters.
The first appearance of a tag was in the Season One episode "Josh Just Happens to Live Here!" and they were present in all episodes in the first two seasons (apart from "When Will Josh and His Friend Leave Me Alone?" and "Can Josh Take A Leap Of Faith?") and three episodes in the fourth season. The scenes occasionally feature a song, usually a reprise.
There are 32 tags out of 61 episodes, 18 out 18 in the first season, 11 out of 13 in the second season and 3 out of 17 in the fourth season making the third season the only season without any end tags. Rachel Bloom has said that they didn't have enough time to add end tags in the third season with one tag for 304 being planned with Marco's thought about having sex with a girl half his age and a tag from 302 featuring George trying to kill Josh's grandfather in a nursing home when Nathaniel calls him to tell him not to do it.
