Jude Weng, born Weng Fei-fei ("翁菲菲"), is a Taiwanese-born American television writer, producer, and director. She has been a showrunner and has directed various genres of television in both single and multi-cam shows. Weng is particularly experienced in sitcoms having directed many comedies on different networks. These include “Fresh Off the Boat” (ABC), “2 Broke Girls” (CBS) and “The Good Place” (NBC). Her past work also includes reality shows such as “The Mole” and “Survivor”. Jude is an alum of the American Film Institute’s Women’s Directing Program, the ABC-Disney Directing Fellowship, the Warner Brothers Directing for Episodic TV and was selected for an HBO Writing Fellowship in 2015. In 2016 she was on ABC Disney’s Casting Team for their Annual Talent Showcase. Currently Jude is developing projects with actor/producer Josh Duhamel’s company Dakotakid. Recently Weng has directed several episodes of The CW network comedy musical “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” |
