Someone at Showtime knew that this would be right up Marc Webb’s alley, naturally since he directed 500 Days of Summer, and we sent him the script. He’s a big deal so I was like, “Ah, whatever happens…” But then we heard that Marc really loved it and wants to do it. He’s a fantastic person. He’s just been awesome to work with.

Marc Preston Webb is an American music video, television and movie director. He was born on born on August 31, 1974 in Bloomington, Indiana, to Margaret Ruth (née Stocker) and Norman Lott Webb. He was raised in Madison, Wisconsin and graduated from Madison West High School in 1992. After attending Colorado College and the University of Wisconsin–Madison he graduated with an English degree. He is best known for his directorial debut film "500 Days of Summer" along with the summer blockbusters "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". Webb directed the first episode of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and is credited as an executive producer. His company "Webbterfuge" is also listed as having produced the first Season of episodes. He returned in 2016 to direct the premiere episode of Season Two. |
