Nipsey Hussle was an American rapper, who played himself in the first episode of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. His appearance was during "The Sexy Getting Ready Song" contributing a rap verse that he ended prematurely after realizing that it was "nasty-ass patriarchal bullshit" and that he needed to go "apologize to some bitches". The end tag of the episode features the aforementioned apologies that he leaves via voicemail, in which he also reveals that he had recently read The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir. He was fatally shot outside of his clothing store on March 31 2019 in Los Angeles.
