Rene Gube is a Filipino-American actor, writer and comedian best known for his role as "Threepeat" on the TBS sitcom "Ground Floor". He was raised in Rancho Penasquitos, San Diego and went to Mount Carmel High School. It's there he discovered his love of comedy while being active in a Speech and Debate club. He briefly became a high school teacher and during that time became a member of a sketch group called "Torchblue." After leaving teaching he joined the Uptight Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles and received further training in the art of improvisational comedy. He joined the writing staff on sitcoms such as "Up All Night" and "Ground Floor". He is currently the executive story editor and writer on The CW musical comedy "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend". Gube also portrays onscreen the recurring character of "Father Brah". In his personal life Gube is married to his former "Ground Floor" co-star Briga Heelan. |

Rene Gube is the first of three actors from the short lived comedy "Ground Floor" to appear on "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." His wife Briga Heelan was the second actor to make an appearance as "Connie Cavanagh." The former star of "Ground Floor" and Heelan's onscreen love interest Skylar Astin of "Pitch Perfect" fame was the last actor from the show to appear on "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." Astin was brought in to portray Greg Serrano taking over the role from Santino Fontana in the fourth and final season.
