Robin Thomas (full name Robin Thomas Grossman) is an American actor who has appeared on stage, screen and film for over thirty years. He was born on February 12, 1949 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and grew up in Massachusetts. Thomas attended the college preparatory school Mercersburg Academy where he graduated in 1967. He went on to attend Carnegie-Mellon University majoring in art and drama eventually earning a BFA. In his junior year he joined the Sociology department and graduated from the Art department with a major in sculpture. Afterwards he moved to New York and worked for a time as a sculptor before beginning his acting career. His first onscreen role was in the 1983 TV movie "Svengali" and found steady work in television including recurring characters on the ABC sitcom "Who’s the Boss?", the NBC court drama "Matlock" and the CBS comedy "Murphy Brown." He also starred in movies such as "Summer School" and "The Banger Sisters." During this period he married Gina Wishnick and had two children, a daughter named Zooey and son named Zack. He continued to find steady work in Hollywood with numerous appearances in various popular TV series ("Bones", "Law & Order") and also recurring roles ("Cleaners", "Zoo"). In 2015 he was cast in the role of "Marco Serrano" on The CW comedy musical "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend."
