Thor Knai (born Torbjorn Knai ) is a Norwegian actor and veteran. He was born on June 2, 1984 in Tromso, Norway to his father, a member of the Royal Norwegian Air Force, and his mother who was an entrepreneur. His interest in acting began at age 15 in 1999 when, with the support of his mom, he landed a supporting part in a mini-series called “Ansur.” He also appeared in a school cabaret before graduating from Nesbru High with an International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2003. with the highest amount of extra curricular activity hours, mainly from acting related endeavor. Thor then joined the Royal Norwegian Army for a mandatory year becoming a squad leader in a Storm platoon; at this time he signed up to take part in a NATO international peacekeeping mission in Kabul, Afghanistan. He began pursuing his acting dream once his tour in Afghanistan was done and in 2005 enrolled in the New York Film Academy at Universal Studios locates in Los Angeles. He finished the program in 2006 spring and was granted permanent residency in the United States on the basis of exceptional ability. Over the years he landed a number of steady roles on television includung parts in “Bones” and “The Last Ship.” In 2015 he was cast in the role of “Xander” on The CW musical comedy “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.”
